Is there any way of getting rid of the camera-machine noise? I have heard about isolation covers, what about it?

Well, Nizo makes a couple of quiet super-8 cameras.
    The Nizo 6080 is one.

I would say experiment. I hooked up a vendor with Pro-8mm and he made 10 sound blimps for the Beaulieu 7008. It made the camera real quiet, but it was more difficult to use the camera.

As for material to use, sound insulation foam is a start, some use blankets, it's not easy.

Remember, the smaller the room, the more you will hear the camera, the quieter the scene, the more you will hear the camera.

If you want to shoot in a small, quiet room, then it's probably wiser to just buy a Nizo 6080 then trying to quiet a louder camera.

Well, since i am a Sound Engineer student, i can always do experiments with noise reduction too. And for those really quiet scenes, i think post-synced sounds is best...
